GOAL 1 Students/graduates will be clinically competent.

1. Students/graduates will perform patient assessment skills.
2. Students/graduates will perform basic and advanced airway management techniques.
3. Students/graduates will perform intravenous (IV) access.

GOAL 2 Students/graduates will demonstrate communication skills.

1. Students/graduates will use effective oral communication skills.
2. Students/graduates will practice written communication skills.

GOAL 3 Students/graduates will develop critical thinking skills.

1. Students/graduates will demonstrate sound decision-making in patient management.

GOAL 4 Students/graduates will model professionalism.

1. Students/graduates will demonstrate professional qualities.
2. Students/graduates will understand and demonstrate professional ethics.

GOAL 5 The program will graduate entry-level paramedics. (program effectiveness).

1. Graduates will successfully challenge the licensure/certification exam.
2. Of those pursuing employment, graduates will be employed within 12 months of program completion.
3. Students will complete the Paramedic field practicum (EMS 240/241) within 6 months of the end of the didactic portion of the program.
4. Graduates will be satisfied with their education.
5. Employers will be satisfied with graduates’ performance.
