Program Information/Mission
The mission of the Automotive-Electric Vehicle Specialist certificate program is to prepare students for employment as an entry-level Electric Vehicle Technician to be employed by automobile dealers, independent repair shops, automotive manufacturers that deal specifically with Electric Vehicles.

Students participate in an internship during their second semester. Students are encouraged to take the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) exams, an evaluation program that qualifies the student as a technician in other states as well. See Program Chair for materials and resource requirement for program classes. Students entering the program should have mechanical aptitude and be interested in mechanical work.
