Goal

GOAL 1 Graduates will demonstrate ethical and service-oriented behaviors in the 9-1-1 Telecommunication field in which they choose to work.

Learning Outcomes

1. Students will demonstrate professional interaction with all parties in the internship setting, such as with police, fire, and EMS.
2. Students will demonstrate the ethics of professional responsibility within the 9-1-1 telecommunication profession.

Goal

GOAL 2 Graduates will demonstrate skills of the 9-1-1 Telecommunication in which they plan to work, along with the issues and problems that arise within that system.

Learning Outcomes

1. Students will develop the skills necessary to work within the 9-1-1 telecommunication field, such as call taking, accurate address information, proper communications, computer systems, etc.

2. Students will perform routine tasks involving technology to access information about the court system; the laws; cases; and court rules, as well as communicate about the same.

Goal

GOAL 3 Graduates will demonstrate knowledge in the area of criminal 9-1-1 Telecommunication, specifically new trends and laws that apply to their chosen profession.

Learning Outcomes

1. Students will demonstrate knowledge of 9-1-1 Telecommunication and its role in contributing to our understanding of the evolving world of crime and the changing trends of telecommunication.

2. Student will demonstrate knowledge of 9-1-1 Telecommunication issues that deal with new case law and the evolving changes in crime and the applicable law.
