ARTS AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCEAssociate in ArtsAA - Associate in Arts

Program Information/Mission

This plan of study is designed for students wishing to pursue foundational transfer credits and experience to prepare them to enter serious study in the field of architecture.

Admission to Program

Suggested high school courses should include four years of high school mathematics, two to three years of foreign language, one laboratory science, and one year of architectural drafting or art.

Additional Program Information

It is strongly advised that students work with their Student Success Advisor based on their intended transfer institution requirements.

For transfer to University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) Architectural Studies Program it is recommended to complete only the first 31 credit hours of the recommended sequence prior to transfer. Students may reverse transfer credits back to Illinois Central College to complete their Associate in Arts degree.

If students complete all coursework for the Associate in Arts (AA) degree requirements, they will be eligible to receive an AA from Illinois Central College which further prepares them for successful transfer to other four-year institutions.
