Program Information/Mission

The mission of the Automotive Technology Associate in Applied Science degree program is to prepare students for employment as an entry-level technician to be employed by automobile dealers, independent repair shops, mass merchandisers, auto manufacturers, part and component distributors, and other service oriented businesses.   

Accreditation Information

Automotive Service Excellence Educational Foundation (ASEEF) certified program.

Additional Program Information

Students participate in three 1 credit hour internships throughout the duration of the program OR complete a single 8-week internship during their sophomore year. Students are prepared and encouraged to take the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) exams, an evaluation program that qualifies the student as a technician in other states as well.  See Program Chair for materials and resource requirement for program classes.
